Oase Pondovac 3 Latest Oase Pond Vacuum For Easy
Fish Pond Cleaning
It's impossible to avoid the wind blowing garden
dust and leaves and grass cuttings into your pond.
In addition pond inhabitants and especially koi
produce quite significant quantities of waste
products and these build up over time. If pond
debris that has settled on the bottom of the pond is
not removed then the risk of oxygen reduction is
increased and if there is a large amount of debris
the this could easily be the source of pathogenic
bacteria causing health problems for your goldfish
You can now avoid this unsatisfactory situation
by considering an Oase Pondovac 3 ... the very
latest pond vacuum technology is built into the Oase
Pondovac 3 (this has quite recently superceded the
immensely popular Pondovac 2. I don't remember the
SIDE NOTE: Any
pond fish food (sticks and pellets) that remains uneaten also
settles on the
pond bottom. Rotting food remains can be decreased
significantly by feeding high quality
low ash floating pond food pellets and by making
sure you do not overfeed your fish (one of the
leading causes of all pond problems).
In large koi ponds bottom drain
systems remove settled solid continuously but they
are an overkill for small to medium ponds up to say
5000 litres. Pond vacuums like the Oase Pondovac 3 are used like indoor
carpet vacuums and they pick up sludge, silt and
dead vegetation by suction or vacuum.

Vacuum the pond clean - 24/7!
The new 'Pondovac 3' builds on the reputation of
earlier Pondovacs made by Oase. The latest improved
design means that the fish or garden pond can now be
vacuum cleaned continuously. The Pondovac 3 achieves
this by utilizing a new 2-chamber system. Two
cylinders are filled and emptied with water in
cycles which alternate. When one container is full
then a valve is mechanically opened by a float
switch device. This starts the process of emptying
of one and at the same time allows the other
cylinder to be filled with dirty pond water.
Transport handle and sturdy castors to make the
vacuum easier to manoeuvre
Also includes a string algae nozzle, a wide nozzle
with a rubber lip, a crevice tool and a floor
nozzle, the vacuum tube extension and a debris
collection bag for the water return.
